I’m A Woman and I Reject The Modern Day Feminist Philosophy

A perspective from a millennial, conservative, Christian, anti-feminist young woman.

Yes, the phrase “anti-feminist” is correct in the subtitle. Why? Feminism is far gone from being the belief that men and women are equal. Modern day feminism is unconvincing, fails to uphold any morals and is far from being victorious, and an unfortunate pattern lies among this group.

Milo Yiannopoulos, a British political commentator, hit the nail on the head with his description of what feminism has become. He called it a “mean, vindictive, spiteful, nasty, man-hating philosophy.” I applaud him for that – I 100% agree. Feminism is not about equality anymore – the movement today humiliates women.

I took a trip to Manhattan last summer, and of course, I took a touristy stroll around Times Square. I passed by a group of guys and girls covered in paint. The guys were shirtless – thank God they were wearing pants. The girls were completely naked. They were all holding signs that said “Free The Nipple,” “Feminism,” and “Equality.” Then of course, I continued to see it all over the news and social media. Walking around nude is not going to solve any “problems.” Their behavior is unconvincing because it portrays women as weak. They want “equality” so bad that they are willing to take their clothes off for it. What is next? Use their bodies for it? I believe that these feminists have lost their minds and if they keep this up, a very dark and low bottom awaits them.

Oh wait, they have already plummeted.

After seeing nude women make an effort to “fight” for “equality” and discussing the “inequality” issue with feminist peers on a college campus, I have noticed a pattern among this group. Many of them lack the strength and confidence that God has to offer. Whether or not someone believes in the Bible, women should be portrayed with class. God intends for women to be modest, elegant, and respectful of their bodies. He says in Proverbs 31:35 “Strength and dignity are her clothing, And she smiles at the future.” The Bible is uplifting for women, not public nudity.

I can not stop repeating that what feminism has become is disgusting.

Many feminists have a problem with what the Bible says about the relationship between man and wife. Ephesians 5:22-28 says, “Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.” This is repeated in 1 Peter 3, “Likewise, you wives should be subordinate to your husbands.” This is not interpreted as women should be a slave to their husbands –but to respectfully honor the needs and wants of their husbands. God says I am to obey my husband, and I will happily do so.

I have discussed this with feminists and progressives, and every single time it is brought up, they ask, “What if your husband were to take advantage of that?”

My answer? “I trust God would never place me at an alter with a man that would act in such a way. Once you find a strong faith in the Bible and a trust in God, then you will understand.”

Of course I believe in equal rights, but equal rights were obtained far long ago with what is actually important: the 19th amendment was passed in 1920, the Women’s Army Corps was created in 1942, the passing of the Equal Rights Amendment by Congress in 1972. Looking back on the meaningful rights women were given much time ago, I can not help but continue to wonder what on earth these anti-male feminists are trying to achieve today by degrading themselves.

I reject their philosophy – I reject feminism, and it will remind me to always be grateful that a family who understands and carries out the wishes of God raised me.
